This tutorial will teach you how to create a shadow effect with the tools available in Illustrator. Adobe Illustrator CC makes it easy to create a drop shadow. A drop shadow can create an interesting effect. This is a step-by-step guide to adding the Drop Shadow effect to a text:
Enter the desired text into a new document.

Choose Selection Tool from right toolbar and drag the text to upward by pressing Alt key.

Now select the first written text.

In the properties panel, there is an option to fill the colors. Click it.

Select the white color.

Text is not visible. But it is there. Don’t worry :).

Select the Blend Tool from right tool bar.

Now click on both text. After clicking, an extra layer will appear.

Now, go to blend options in the properties panel or you can double click on the blend tool in the right toolbar.

Blend Options Dialogue Box will appear. We are going to change the Spacing: Smooth Color Option to Specified Steps Option. So Select the drop down list.

Choose Specified Steps Option.

You can see there is written “1”. This figure represent the layers between your written text layers.

Increase the number. Make sure to turn on the Preview Option. In this case, I am choosing 100.

After pressing OK, your text will look like this. We are going to adjust this.

Select the Direct Selection Tool or press A shortcut key to select this tool.

Click on the upper text layer.
Now, adjsut this layer with mouse or keyboard arrow keys.

After adjusting the text, final result should be like this.
