How to Blur in Adobe Illustrator
Select the object that you want to blur, and go to Effect > Blur > Gaussian Blur. Gaussian Blur panel will appear. Adjust the radius according to the blur you need. Click OK when you are done.
You can use any text, shape, and image to blur using the Gaussian blur option available under Effect > Blur.
Different Types of blur:
There are three different types of blur in Adobe Illustrator.
All you have to do is to select any image, text, or shape that you want to blur using the Selection Tool.

Then select one of three blur options available under the Effect > Blur > Blur options.

Gaussian Blur
Gaussian blur can blur any shape, image, or text quickly.
You can use the Gaussian Blur by Effect > Blur > Gaussian Blur.

The Gaussian blur panel will appear. Adjust the settings according to your choice, depending on the blur you need. Click OK when you are done.

Radial Blur
Radial Blur is used to blur the center part of the image.
To use the Radial Blur, go to Effect > Blur > Radial Blur.

The Radial Blur panel will appear. Here you can switch between two blurred methods. One is Spin and the other is Zoom.

Spin blur will spin the center part of the image.

Zoom, as the name suggests, will zoom the center part of the image.

Smart Blur
Smart Blur is used to blur the image in a different style. It makes the image blurry and changes it like it is being traced.
For Smart Blur, go to Effect > Blur > Smart Blur.

The Smart Blur panel will appear.
Adjust the area and change the Radius depending on the smart blur you want to have for the image. Click Ok when you are done.
As you can see, the selected part is smartly blurred.

How to Blur Image in Illustrator
Step 1: Select any object using the Selection Tool from the artboard that you want to blur. You can use any shape, text, or image to blur it.

Adjust the radius depending on the blurry edges you need and then click OK in the feather panel.

It blurred equally around the edges of the image.

How to Make Blur Effect in Illustrator
The blur effect is the same as blurring any image or shape. Select any object, and go to Effect > Blur > Gaussian Blur. You can change the radius to 5px. You can change the radius according to your choice as well. Click OK. A blur effect for the selected object will be created.
How to Blur Text in Illustrator
Select the text using the selection tool and go to Effect > Blur > Gaussian Blur. Change the radius according to your choice and click OK. The text will be blurred.
