1st Method: Make Shape Transparent by Opacity

There are two ways to access the Transparency panel.
Step 1: Grab the Selection Tool from the left toolbar.
Step 2: Select the Shape that you want to make Transparent.
Step 3: As you select the shape, in the Properties > Appearance > Click on the Opacity.
Step 4: After clicking on the Opacity, Transparency panel will appear.
Another way to access the Transparency panel is through Window > Transparency.
The short key for the Transparency panel in Adobe Illustrator is Shift+Ctrl+F10.
