Step 1: Select the Text using the Selection Tool, that you want to Rotate. Here we are selecting this sample text to demonstrate the Rotate text in Illustrator.
Step 2: Take the pointer at the corner or the Bounding Box, until it turns a curve. As you can see in this image.
Step 3: When the pointer curves, with the help of the left button of the mouse, move it. You will see the text start rotating.

2nd Method: Rotate Tool
