3 Different Ways to Make a Bullet point in Illustrator (Easy & Quick)
In this tutorial, we are going to make Bullet Point by using different methods. You can choose any method that you like the most or one that makes the best bullet point for your project. Open the file where you want to make a Bullet point in Illustrator.
1st Method: Bullet Point with a Shortcut key
In Adobe Illustrator the easiest way to make a Bullet Point is by using the short key.

Place the cursor, where you want to add Bullet Point and press Alt+*8 from the keyboard.
Another Short key to making a Bullet Point is by using the numeric keypad. Keep pressing Alt then 0+1+4+9.
This bullet can also be added through the Type menu in Illustrator.
Go to Type > Insert Special Character > Symbols > Bullets.
The bullet will be added where the cursor stays.
You can make as many Bullet Points as needed in Illustrator.
Change the Color of Bullet Point in Illustrator
Select the Bullet Point with the Type Tool to change the Color.
You can change the color of the Bullet point by Properties > Appearance > Fill. Select any color that you want to add to the Bullet Point.
The selected color will be filled in the Bullet.
2nd Method: Bullet Point with Glyphs
Another way to make a Bullet Point in Illustrator is by using Glyphs Panel. Glyphs panels have a lot of shapes that can be used as Bullet points in Illustrator. You have to scroll through all to see available different shapes.
Step 1: Go to Window > Type > Glyphs. You can also access Glyphs by Type (main menu) > Glyphs.
Step 2: Glyphs panel will appear.
Step 3: Place the Type Cursor at the start of the word where you want to add the Bullet Point. Just like we did here.
Step 4: From the Glyphs panel, in the Show choose Entire Font and Cascadia Code.
Step 5: Now this is the bullet point that can be used.
Step 6: Double click on the Bullet Point.
Step 7: The Bullet point will be added at the place where the Type Cursor was located.
You can also use other bullet points from here as well. The different option that has symbols that can be used as bullets are available. Change the fonts to see more and more glyphs.
3rd Method: Make Bullet with Symbols

4th Method: Make Bullet with Shapes
The best way to make a bullet point for your design is by making a shape and then using it as a Bullet point. We will create a square and then use it to make a Bullet point in Illustrator.
Step 1: Select the Rectangle Tool from the left toolbar.
Step 2: Keep pressing the Shift key from the keyboard and draw a square on the artboard.
Step 3: Position it with the text where you want to use it as a Bullet Point.
To add it as a Bullet point for the list, press Ctrl+C from the keyboard, and it will be copied. Press Ctrl+V from the keyboard to paste it. Do this as much as needed. Adjust all the shapes in the form of bullet points.
You can also change the color of the shape easily. Go to Fill and select any required color that you want to use.
You can create a circle or rectangle or star to make a bullet point in Illustrator. No restrictions.
