2 Ways to Make a Triangle in Illustrator 2022
In Adobe Illustrator, you can make a triangle using 2 different ways. The 2 different tools to make a triangle are Polygon Tool and Pen Tool.
How to Make a Triangle in Illustrator
Select the Polygon Tool, click once on the artboard, add 3 sides in the Polygon panel and click OK. As you click OK, the Triangle will appear on the artboard.
1st Method: Make Triangle using Polygon Tool
Make a triangle by following these steps:

Step 1: Grab the Polygon Tool from the left toolbar. As the polygon tool is under the Rectangle Tool, right-click or long-press to see the other tools on the list.
Step 2: Left-click once on the artboard to see the Polygon panel. Because if you draw, then it will be a polygon. So here we will change the polygon sides to make it a triangle.
Step 3: In the Polygon panel, leave the radius as it is, add 3 sides, and click OK.
A Triangle with all 3 sides will appear on the artboard.
How to Make a Rounded Triangle in Illustrator?
A rounded triangle can also be created by selecting the triangle using the Selection Tool and then using the little circles to make it rounded.
Click and drag the circle to the center of the shape depending on the roundness you needed.

How to Make Isosceles Triangles in Illustrator
You can also convert the triangle to an isosceles triangle easily. An isosceles triangle has two equal sides. So grab the Selection Tool from the left toolbar.
Click and select the triangle and then drag it from the edge to make it an isosceles triangle.

2nd Method: Make Triangle Using Pen Tool
The “Pen Tool” can be used to make a triangle in a free-form style. You can draw each side a different size, depending on your needs.
Step 1: Grab the Pen Tool from the left toolbar. You can also press P from the keyboard to use the Pen Tool.
Step 2: Make three anchor points in the shape of a triangle, ending with clicking on the first anchor point you added to the artboard.

You can make any size triangle of your choice.
How to Make a Right Triangle in Illustrator
A right triangle can be drawn using the rectangle as well. Make a rectangle using the Rectangle tool.
Select the Pen Tool from the toolbar.
Click on any one anchor point when there is a “–” sign with the pen.
As you click on any anchor point, the anchor will be removed from the shape.
Here, a right triangle is made.
