3rd Method: Increase Offset Path
Another way that can also be used to Bold Text in Illustrator is by increasing the Offset Path. The offset Path will increase its outer layer and will turn the text into bold.
Step 1: Select the Text by using the Selection Tool.
Step 2: Right Click and select Create Outlines or press Shift+Ctrl+O.
Step 3: The outlines of the selected text will be created.
Step 4: Go to Object > Path > Offset Path.
Step 5: Offset Path panel will appear. Here we have set the Offset Path to 5px. You can also increase or decrease according to your choice. Click OK.
As you can see here the Text is Bold.
Now you can ungroup the text and move it according to your choice.
As you can see we have increased some space between the characters.
Some fonts are already Bold and that is why they don’t have Bold Font Style in the Character panel. So this method can be easily used to make them Bold in Illustrator.
